’Wake up wake up’’, my dad said to all of us. We woke up very early and drove to Canada. It was about 7 hours. On the way we mostly listened to the radio. It was cool when we saw a lot of animals and wildlife. “Hey, look a huge bird,” my sister said. The bird was one we never saw before. “Are we there yet”? I asked. My parents kept saying “almost” and ‘’no’’. It was the first time my sister and I went to a new country. All of us were excited.
When we finally got to our hotel, we looked around and saw an indoor pool. But we were more focused on the Red Sox game. The next day we drove to Toronto for the Red Sox game. We got there an hour before the game,and we saw batting practice. We had fairly good seats. I saw Red Sox pitchers signing balls, so I got a plethora of signatures by Josh Beckett, Justin Masterson, Daniel Bard and Hideki Okajma “Thanks,” I said when I got the ball signed. My heart was pounding and pounding. It was a tremendous feeling. When the game finally started the Red Sox batted. Rocco Baldellli hit a homerun for the Red Sox. The Blue Jays dominated the later innings and won 5-3. “At least I got a ball signed by the Sox,” I said.
After the game we went to the hotel and finished packing. We drove home and now all of us have been outside of the United States. It was a really great experience. I hope to do it again someday. It was one of the best trips I’ve been on.
