Do you believe the statistic from a 2005 survey (Omnibuzz Research) that:
Online teens frequently communicate virtually with someone the've never met: 54% have done so texting, 50% via email; and 45% in a chat room.
Why or why not?
Did you find that the Profile Penalty video and power point activity was geared towards 7th grade or younger?
Do you think that the information from this Profile Penalty class will help you to think before you post things online or did it not make any difference?

yes i do believe that because i have texted before and it is a very useful way of communicating.I think the profile penalty video was geared towards the seventh graders and younger.I think this class did make a slight difference because we have realized what is and isn't dangerous to put online.

1. I think the percentage for chat rooms would be higher because you talk with people you don't know and when you email and text, you are texting to your contacts.
2. I think it is geared toward 7th grade and older.
3. It will make a difference because know we know how the things you post online can affect your future.

i dont beleive that because it seems like most people talk to strangers online instead of through text. a little younger, maybe fifth grade or so. it doesnt really make any difference to me personally because i already knew it.

i don't believe it. i think they mixed up percentages. chat rooms would have to be 54% because you cant really text/ e-mail anyone without even knowing those! chat rooms start it all :D

yes i believe it because lots of kids you chat rooms to communicate with friends, and in most cases others friends.
The project i think would be focused around kids in 5th grade and up because most kids have a internet enabled device.
no because i am already safe on the internet and other devices
